Frequently Asked Questions

How can my school become part of the network…what’s involved?

All schools in B.C. are eligible to become part of NPBS. Your school must commit to work as principal-teacher teams, develop a focused question, assess using the performance standards, and tell their story. Schools attend three after school sessions and the formal story telling celebration at the end of the year.

What does it cost?

Membership in the network is free. All it takes is time and commitment from teachers and principals to make your school a success story. The performance standards in numeracy, writing and social responsibility are available for download on the BCED site for free, but if your school finds it more convenient, you can order a hard copy for a small charge – see our resources page for more information.
