What is the
Network of Performance Based Schools ?

A sustainable learning community of teacher and principal school teams in the province of British Columbia who agree to:

  • Work across roles
  • Actively pursue a learning improvement question of their own design
  • Use criteria daily in citizenship, writing, reading, and mathematical problem solving to help their learners understand how to improve and how to describe their improvement (meta cognition, learning to learn)
  • Use assessment information to plan for more powerful learning experiences
  • Hold professional team inquiry conversations
  • Create internal evidence of sustained learning improvement
  • Share their questions and findings, strategies and resources with other schools
  • Schools teams develop a question that becomes the focus for their school improvement work on an annual basis. For more information click here
